Zerolytics is co-founded and led by the two serial entrepreneurs Per-Otto Wold (CEO) and Atle Christiansen (CPO). They have a proven track record from the start-up scene, having previously built several successful companies, such as Point Carbon, the leading provider of critical insights into global carbon and energy markets. Their latest venture, Zerolytics, established in 2023, has developed a powerful method to assess the risks associated with the Net Zero transition of large corporate emitters.They have developed a SaaS platform and validated their approach with the world's leading financial institutions with backgrounds from the like of Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), Cognite, Spacemaker and Xeneta. While still in its early stages, the company has assembled a team of around 20 employees and is experiencing rapid growth, attracting top talents from diverse backgrounds.

Zerolytics is developing a comprehensive data and analytics platform that empowers investors and other stakeholders to assess the credibility and financial impact of net zero transition plans.

Current methods lack credibility because they:

  • Lack reliable emissions forecast: Current methods lack company-specific emissions pathways, neglecting detailed Capex analysis and key performance drivers.
  • Offer no link between emissions pathways with financial performance: Emissions pathways aren't effectively connected to financial performance, creating gaps in understanding the financial impact of climate strategies.

This leaves gaps in understanding the true impact of climate strategies.

Zerolytics has built Financial Digital Twins (FDT), to solve this problem. FDTs are quantitative models that show how a company’s investment choices affect both climate targets and financial outcomes. By closely replicating real investment behaviors and incorporating key performance drivers, this model provides a detailed link between financial goals and emissions pathways, offering a clearer picture of how climate strategies impact the bottom line. The product is market-ready and validated using 25 years of historic data. We are now working actively with commercializing and scaling the business globally.

As a Sales & Business Development Manager, you will drive company growth by seeking out new opportunities and expanding our reach. You will play a key role in our growth strategy by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, close deals and contributing to our overall sales strategy. You will primarily target the world's largest financial institutions and investors, mainly outside Norway.

Your contribution is pivotal to our organization, as it combines a passion for the financial sector with strong organizational skills and expertise in initiation and closing of sales. To thrive in this position, you need to understand the client's needs and communicate impactfully to meet these. Being a good listener and having the ability to ask the right questions are essential. You are well-organized, and motivated by making a difference. Per-Otto is a dedicated and successful serial entrepreneur, and currently co-founder and CEO at Zerolytics. He has more than 20 years experience within energy and environmental markets. In 2000 he co-founded and was CEO at Point Carbon, the leading provider of critical insights into international carbon and energy markets. Point Carbon was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2010. In between this and current engagement with Zerolytics he successfully co-founded and build Spond, as their CEO and now Executive Chairman.

Atle Christiansen
Co-Founder


Atle is a serial entrepreneur with 25 years’ experience from carbon, energy and capital markets, having worked in a variety of roles as CEO, advisor, analyst and board member. Currently co-founder and CPO at Zerolytics. Alongside Per-Otto he co-founded Point Carbon in 2000 and helped building the company to become the leading provider of critical insights into international carbon and energy markets. Also, co-founded Harvest Funds, a fintech company in the asset management space.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Work closely with the CEO/ co-founder to help shape and drive Zerolytics commercial strategy and growth
  • Identify and engage with potential clients
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities and take lead in closing
  • Presenting and introducing our innovative solutions
  • Provide input and collaborate with management to improve product and offering
  • Be responsible for the project management of ongoing sales outreach
  • Work with the CMO on marketing strategy and activities
  • Optimize outreach efforts
  • Manage the sales pipeline, keeping track of opportunities and ensuring they move through the process efficiently

Desired qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales from professional sales team
  • Higher education within Economics, Finance or other relevant fields of studies
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with international sales processes
  • Experience in sales and business development related to complex B2B products and services
  • Preferably experience in the financial sector, but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication- and organizational skills
  • Structured and result oriented approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Keen interest in finance
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, a proactive attitude, and a passion for sustainability
