As the electricity market undergoes significant changes driven by the green transition, there is an increasing need for accurate prediction and efficient supply-demand management. Optimeering is dedicated to addressing these challenges through precise models and advanced technology. With strong support from investors, we are now positioned to scale our operations and expand into the Nordic markets.

Our company has experienced rapid growth and high market demand in a short period of time. Building upon this momentum and success in the Norwegian market, we are now ready to venture into the Swedish and Finnish markets. To spearhead this expansion, we are seeking a commercial VP Business Development SE/FI who will spearhead our strategic commercial efforts in Sweden and Finland.

As the VP of Business Development at Optimeering, you will play a crucial role in an exciting scaleup company, kick starting our global growth journey. Your mandate will be to establish and develop the commercial function in the Swedish and Finnish market, and take charge of all sales and customer management activities. To achieve this in a niche B2B market, customer development and relationship building are key components, as well as ensuring strong connections with key stakeholders. Collaborating closely with the Chief Business Officer, your mission will be to realize our ambitious growth targets in Sweden and Finland.

To excel in this role, we are looking for an individual with a passion for business and problem solving, the ability to forge strong partnerships, and willingness to learn in a continuously changing industry. In addition, the ability to quickly grasp market dynamics, customer operational goals, workflows, and systems will be valuable. As a person, we think you have an interested and curious mind, with a hands-on and entrepreneurial attitude. In short, we are looking for a proactive candidate that understands the realities and opportunities that come with working in a startup environment.

Responsibilities and tasks


  • Establish and grow our commercial presence in the Swedish and Finnish market
  • Cultivate and nurture long lasting relationships with key customers and partners
  • Provide insights and guidance to refine product and commercial strategy
  • Generate interest and awareness around our company and products in the Nordic market
  • Identify and seize market opportunities in the Swedish and Finnish market

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Proven track record of 3+ years of commercial operations, preferably in a startup or scaleup environment
  • Experience within the technology or SaaS industry is a plus, but not required
  • Solid business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
